SALEM, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots beach volleyball team topped the Oregon Ducks 4-1, on Saturday afternoon at Chemeketa Community College. The Pilots have now defeated the Ducks in three of their last four meetings.

"Everyone took a good week of practice and implemented the things we worked on," said head coach Jeff Baxter. "I am very proud of the way we competed today one through six."

With Oregon up 1-0 after the 5's dual, 4's pair Kassidy Naone and Lauren Naatz swept their dual with scores of 24-22 and 21-13 to level the overall match score. Sarah Savoca, Carey Williams, Katie Barker, and Morgan Robinson then both produced comeback wins in the 3's and 2's dual, putting the Pilots up 3-1 to secure the match. 1's pair Cali Thompson and Tani Stephens  finished off the day with another sweep with scores of 21-12 and 21-14 to give Portland the overall 4-1 win.

The Pilots will next be in action on March 29 and 30 in Seattle Wash., taking on Boise State and University of Washington.
