The fourth annual Pilots BrewFest will be hosted at the Chiles Center prior to the men's basketball game versus San Francisco Saturday night. Admission will be free to the event with a game ticket, while patrons can purchase a variety of beverages and food.
The event will follow the Pilot women's basketball game, scheduled for 2 p.m. against San Diego. Tickets purchased for the men's game that night will also provide admission to the women's game in the afternoon.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the Pilots BrewFest, which will be held on the upper mezzanine of the Chiles Center. A variety of beers and ciders will be available from some of the top craft breweries in the Pacific Northwest.
Among the beers will be
Co-Pilot IPA, a collaboration brew from West Coast Grocery Company (WCGC) and Backwoods Brewing. Portland alums Charlie Hyde IV ('09, owner of WCGC) and Steve Waters ('10, CEO of Backwoods Brewing) created Co-Pilot IPA and it will be featured on campus at the Pilot House and at upcoming home games.
Special food items will also be available at Pilots BrewFest including a nacho stand with house-made cheese, chili and salsa options. A mac n cheese station with toppings options of sliced buffalo chicken breast, blanched broccoli, bacon bits, parmesan, crumbled bleu and buttered bread crumbs will also be featured.
