
ABUJA, Nigeria – University of Portland men's tennis alumnus Michail Pervolarakis ('18) continued his strong performance on the professional tour by claiming the
GSL Open $25K Men's Futures doubles title on Saturday with partner Dan Added. It is the fifth doubles title won by Pervolarakis in less than a year since he turned pro.
Pervolarakis and Added also reached the doubles finals the previous week at the Dayak Tennis Championships in Nigeria.
Pervolarakis has risen to as
high as No. 541 in the ATP doubles world rankings and No. 623 in ATP singles. In the new split rankings, Pervolarakis sits at No. 207 in the ITF World Tennis Singles Rankings and is unranked in the ATP. In doubles, he is No. 94 in the ITF and No. 706 in the ATP and will rise with the most recent results.
A two-time West Coast Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year and twice named the UP Male Student-Athlete of the Year at Portland (2017, 2018), Pervolarakis graduated last summer before embarking full-time on the professional tour.
