Box Score EUGENE, Ore. – Portland men's tennis finished strong by going 7-0 in singles Sunday to conclude a very successful weekend at the Duck Invite. Overall, the Pilots finished the event with a 16-7 combined singles record and were 9-1 in doubles.

Tom Garcia, Tannor Binder and Gian Manhas all went a perfect 3-0 in singles. The doubles tandems of Garcia and Eli Noel as well as Binder and Anirudh Nallaparaju also were 3-0.

"We played a ton of tennis this weekend and it was a great confidence builder," Portland head coach Aaron Gross said. "I'm really proud how we finished the weekend off going seven and zero on the final day in singles. The team showed a lot of character coming back in some matches and a couple guys picked up wins against opponents that previously beat them.

"Tannor Binder was probably the highlight of the weekend. He had three great single wins and also won all three of his doubles contests. Ani is also coming into form after battling through some injuries. It's hard to single out just one or two guys because everybody put together a good effort this weekend."

The Pilots will conclude the Fall season at the Gonzaga Invitational Nov. 6-8 in Spokane, Wash.
