Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Portland men's tennis concluded successful runs at the 64th Annual Southern California Intercollegiate Championships in Los Angeles and the Gonzaga Invitational in Spokane, Wash. by winning a combined three doubles titles between the two events.

Sema Pankin and Eleftherios Neos defeated a team from Concordia-Irvine in the semifinals and then outlasted a ranked duo from SMU by an 8-6 margin in the title match in Los Angeles. The victory earns the pair a wild card entry to a $25,000 pro futures event this March in Calabasas, Calif.

At the Gonzaga Invitational, Julien Penzlin and Nikolas Tvedt won the doubles title in the top draw on Sunday morning, while freshman Oscar Brown teamed up with a Gonzaga player for the doubles crown in the White Draw. Tvedt also won three consolation matches in the top flight singles.

"Great effort in LA and Spokane today. Lefty and Sema won the 64th annual SoCal Intercollegiates. They had a great two hours of tennis. Winning the semi finals this morning handily before coming back and squeaking by a solid SMU team to take the title. They showed great composure today in a back-and-forth match. And in the end I think that composure really helped bring home a title for them.And besides a cool trophy they also got a wild card into the main draw is the $25,000 pro future events in March in Calabasas, which is a very exciting opportunity. A Nik Tvedt a Julian one the first flight title in Spokane. And Oscar Brown won the second flight in Spokane with a partner from Gonzaga since both of our teams had odd number players.

Previously at the SoCal Intercollegiates, Issa Yoshida made a run to the semifinals.

The Pilots will return to action next weekend at the Duck Invitational in Eugene, Ore.
