Â
ABOUT THE PILOTS
• Megan Burton was promoted as the head coach of the Pilots volleyball program in January 2020, and Aven Lee joined the staff as an assistant coach in March.
• The Pilots return nine letter winners from the 2019 season, including All-WCC Honorable Mention and outside hitter Liz Reich.
• The program welcomed five true freshmen to The Bluff this summer.
• Portland's freshmen class is made up of RS/MB Jiana Lawson, MB Nevaeh Bray, OH Mia Wesley, OH Ryann Gregg, and MB Chelsey Harmon.
• The Pilots saw three seniors graduate last spring in Katie Barker, Shayla Hoeft, and Emma Scanlan.
• Senior Carey Williams is currently the fifth all-time individual career record holder in digs at 1437. Williams' 505 digs during the 2019 season places her sixth all-time for an individual season record.
• True freshman Mia Wesley leads the team in kills to start the 2020-21 season, accumulating 25 in the first two WCC matches against #16 BYU.
• The Pilots will look to setters Kellie Hughes and Noelani Helm to provide the assists all this year, and they have so far combined for 62 assists on the year.
• The Pilots are currently second in the WCC in blocks, averaging 1.89 per set so far this season.
Â

• In 2019, Thana Fayad and Katie Lukes provided 298 kills apiece for the Toreros, tying for the team high that season.
