PORTLAND, Ore. – Rimona Rouf earned a win in No. 6 singles, but the Portland Pilots fell to the Saint Mary's Gaels 6-1 in their final match of the year. The loss puts the Pilots' final record at 3-12 overall and 2-6 in WCC play.

The Gaels got up early in the match by taking the doubles point from Portland. Saint Mary's rolled into wins in the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles match to make it 1-0 in their favor.

Saint Mary's would continue their dominance with a sweep through the first three lines of singles. The clinching point for the Gaels came in the No. 2 singles match. Neli Sunjic fought hard, bouncing back with a second set victory after dropping the first set, but came up short. Rouf's win in the No. 6 singles match was the only victory for the Pilots.

This match marked the final of the season for the Pilots, with there being no WCC tournament this season. The outright WCC regular-season winner will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
