SAN MATEO, Calif. – For the first time in her career, Portland Pilots women's soccer forward Kayla Adams has been named the WCC Offensive Player of the Week. She is the third Pilot to earn the award this season.
Adams was a force offensively for the Pilots in a busy week, scoring two goals and adding an assist in matches against the Saint Mary's Gaels and the Pacific Tigers. Adams scored her first goal against the Gaels and added to it against the Tigers, adding an assist on the game-winning goal later in the match.
The Bellevue, Wash. native has five goals and three assists on the year, the most by a Pilot in their debut season since Danica Evans in 2013. The Pilots won both matches and officially went undefeated in the regular season at home for the first time since 2010.
The Pilots begin their final week of regular season action this Wednesday, Nov. 2 when they take on the San Francisco Dons down in the Bay. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Check PortlandPilots.com for live stats and video options.
