Box Score TULSA, Okla. – Sema Pankin picked up a pair of Qualifying Draw singles wins and Eleftherios Neos earned a consolation win at the high profile
ITA All-American Championships hosted at Tulsa this week.
Pankin – ranked No. 120 nationally in singles – recorded straight set victories over Sebastian Dominko of Notre Dame and Marcus McDaniel of Georgia Tech before being knocked out of the tournament on Tuesday by Baylor's Jake Finn Bass.
Neos dropped his opening match to David Stevenson of Memphis before bouncing back for a 7-6, 6-3 win against Holden Coons from James Madison.
Pankin and Neos – ranked as the No. 10 duo in the nation – were slotted into the Main Draw of the doubles event, but came up short on Wednesday in a 7-6, 6-2 loss to a team from Liberty and then dropped a consolation match to a duo from Alabama.
The rest of the Pilots will be in action at the ITA Northwest Regional held in Spokane, Wash. at the Stevens Center Oct. 6-10.
