Box Score SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The San Diego State Aztecs defeated Portland 4-3 in a men's tennis non-conference dual match on Saturday at the Aztec Tennis Center.

The Pilots (4-8) took the doubles point with wins at the top two positions. Sema Pankin and Eleftherios Neos picked up a 6-4 win at No. 1 and Nicolas Ocana and Julien Penzlin earned a 6-2 win at No. 2.

Penzlin carried the momentum into singles with a comfortable 6-3, 6-3 victory at the No. 3 position, but the Aztecs (5-7) tied it with straight set wins at the No. 4 and No. 5 positions.

San Diego State clinched with a pair of three set wins at the top of the lineup. Joe Tyler outlasted Pankin 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 and Victor Castro defeated Neos 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.

Oscar Brown concluded the scoring for the Pilots with a 6-3, 0-6, 6-4 victory at No. 6 singles.

The Pilots will return home to host a pair of West Coast Conference matches next weekend. Santa Clara visits on Friday at 10 a.m. followed by San Francisco on Sunday at 10 a.m. Live video and scoring links are available at PortlandPilots.com.
