LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Portland went 4-0 in doubles action on Saturday and the tandem of Luka Vukovic and Nikolas Tvedt reached the semifinals of the Southern California Intercollegiate Championships. The duo will face a team from Oregon on Sunday at 10 a.m. The winner of the doubles title will receive a Wild Card into the Main Draw of the ITF M25 Calabasas professional tournament this spring.

"We had an amazing day in doubles," Portland head coach Aaron Gross said. "We went unbeaten this morning with Vukovic and Tvedt getting all the way through to the semifinals tomorrow. The Pilots have won the doubles tournament here twice, so we still have a shot to come home with the title if we can play well tomorrow. Luka just ran out of gas today. He's had nine singles sets in a 24-hour span and was not able to get over the hump, but overall he had a great tournament. We've gotten in a ton of tennis down here and lots of feedback on what we need to do to get better. We will try and grind through one more day and see if we can get some wins on the board tomorrow."
