• The Portland volleyball team will travel to Southern California to face off against conference rivals, the Loyola Marymount Lions and the Pepperdine Waves.
• The matches will take place on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in Los Angeles, Calif. and Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. in Malibu, Calif.
ABOUT THE PILOTS
• In the Pilot's match against Santa Clara, Maui Robins would record 19 kills and 9 digs to place second on the team in both stats.
• Against Santa Clara, Larsson earned a career-high 20 kills with an attack percentage of .357, as well as 5 service aces on the day. Â
• Elin Larsson and Maui Robins both earned double-doubles against the Pilot's win against San Francisco, their second double-double in a row.
•The Pilots earned one win against the San Francisco Dons (3-1) but would fall to the Santa Clara Broncos (2-3)
•Griselda Memia earned a total of 7 blocks during the Pilot's game against Gonzaga, the second most in Pilot history for a single match.
•Maui Robins earned a total of 9 services aces, breaking the Pilot school record for the most aces in a single match.
•The Pilots defeated the Gonzaga Bulldogs at home 3-1, securing their second conference win of the season.
•The Portland volleyball team fell 0-3 to the San Diego Toreros.
•Griselda Memia recorded a career-high 3 blocks in the Pilots 0-3 loss against St. Mary's.
•Maui Robins registered a double-double with 13 kills and 12 digs in the Pilot's 1-3 loss to the Pacific Tigers.
•Maui Robins recorded a total of two aces in the loss against the Waves.
•Elin Larsson recorded 11 kills during the match against Pepperdine, the most of any Pilot on the day.
•The Pilots fell to the Pepperdine Waves at home 0-3.
•Freshman Maddie Corpe finished the weekend off with a total of 37 assists against two of the WCC's highest ranked teams.
•Freshman Taina Kaauwai earned a total of seven blocks on the weekend against LMU and USD.
•The Pilots faced off against LMU and San Diego, falling 0-3 in both matches.
•Portland fell to the San Francisco Dons 1-3. Â
•Portland defeated the Santa Clara Broncos for the first time since 2020.
•The Pilots defeated the Santa Clara Broncos in five sets 3-2.
•Portland began their WCC season against the Santa Clara Broncos and the San Francisco Dons.
•The Pilots competed in the UNLV Invitational, taking on Lamar University, UNLV and Coppin State.
•The Pilots defeated Lamar University 3-0 on the first night of the tournament.
•The Pilots fell to both UNLV and Coppin State on the second and third nights of the tournament, respectively.
•Both Kili Robins and Maui Robins were named to the UNLV Invitational All-Tournament team.
• Maui Robins has been named to the all-tournament teams for the Bearkat Invitational, the University of Portland Invitational and the UNLV Invitational for the 2023 season.
• The Pilots hosted the University of Portland Invitational where they played University of Wyoming, CSUN and Eastern Washington University.
• Portland defeated CSUN in five sets.
•The Pilots fell to the Cowboys and the Eagles 2-3.
•Maui Robins was named a member of the University of Portland Invitational All-Tournament team.
• The Pilots competed in the Hornet VB Invitational in Sacramento, Calif.
• The Pilots were defeated 1-3 by both Sacramento State and San Jose State.
• Portland defeated CSU Fullerton in a comeback victory 3-2.
• The Pilots were defeated by San Jose State 1-3 in their first match of the tournament.
• Freshman Taina Kaauwai was named to the All-Tournament roster, the Pilots' second year in a row having a freshman receive all-tournament honors, with Maui Robins receiving the honors in 2022. Â
• Pilots Volleyball opened their season at the Bearkat Invitational in Huntsville, Texas.
• The Pilots won their first game of the season against TAMU--CC 3-1 and their third game against Sam Houston State 3-2.
• Maui Robins and Lia Hawken were named to the All-Tournament team.
•The Pilots currently rank No. 1 in the WCC and No. 32 in the nation for team total service aces (171) and second in aces per set (1.82).
•Portland also ranks third in team total attacks (2,984), as well as fourth in team kills (1058).
•Maui Robins and Una Rajkovic rank first and second in the WCC for service aces with 35 and 32, respectively.
•Una Rojkovic and Maui Robins also rank third and fourth in the WCC for aces per set with 0.42 and 0.39, respectively.
•Maui Robins currently ranks second in the WCC for kills, service aces and points with 313, 35 and 366.5, respectively.
• Megan Burton enters her fourth year as the head coach of the Pilots volleyball program, with assistant coaches Dylan Hamilton and Kyle Homeyer also returning for the 2023 season.
• The Pilots also bring back nine letter winners from the fall 2022 season.
• The program welcomes four true freshmen to The Bluff this fall in Havannah Hoeft, Tatum Isa, Maddie Corpe, and Taina Kaauwai.
 • Portland has also added four transfer students to their roster, including Middle Blocker Valerie Bruk out of College of San Mateo, Outside Hitter Leonie Freytag from Temple University, Setter Elena Bullemer from Hillsboro Community College and Middle Blocker Nevaeh Bray from Jackson State.
• Outside Hitter Kili Robins joins the Pilots after completing a year as the team's graduate assistant in 2022.
• Portland will be looking for leadership from returners Lia Hawken and Maui Robins, as well as their transfers to lead the team to new heights for the 2023 season. Robins earned a spot on the WCC All-Freshman team during the 2022 season, spearheaded by her offensive prowess, including 241 kills and 2.21 kills per set.
• The Pilots won both the Sacramento State Invitational and the Portland North Marriott Invitational, marking the first time the Pilots have won two tournaments in a single season since 2018.
• Jayde Harris and Noelani Helm were both voted All-WCC
• Jayde Harris became the first Pilot to be voted WCC Offensive Player of the Week twice in a single season.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
• The Loyola Marymount Lions are 15-6 overall and 8-3 in conference play for the 2023 season.
• The Lions most recently faced off against San Diego and Pacific, winning 3-1 over the Toreros and losing 2-3 to the Tigers.
• The Pepperdine Waves are 14-6 overall and 10-0 in WCC play for the 2023 season. Â
• The Waves most recently defeated San Diego and St. Mary's 3-0.
