SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Portland Pilots goalkeeper Kash Oladapo has been named the WCC Defensive Player of the Week after a stout performance against the San Francisco Dons. It's his first Player of the Week win as a Pilot.
Oladapo posted seven saves in Portland's 1-1 draw against the Dons on Sunday, helping the Pilots start unbeaten in WCC play through their first three matches. It's the second time they've achieved that feat in the last three seasons. His seven saves were also a career high for the Happy Valley native.
The Pilots are back in action on Friday, Oct. 18 with their final nonconference match against the California Golden Bears. The two squads will kick off the match at 7 p.m. here at Merlo Field. Check PortlandPilots.com for live stats and video options.
