PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland Pilots Women's Soccer announced their signees from the class of 2025 on Thursday, with seven commits set to join the Pilots next season.
"The incoming class of 2025 will bring an undeniable level of passion, competitiveness and tenacity to our Pilot program only to be matched with a natural desire to be both inspiring to, and supportive of, teammates on and off the field," said Portland head coach Michelle French.
Mia Alvarez Tostado
Sacramento, Calif. — Goalkeeper — Placer United Soccer Club ECNL
A goalkeeper out of Sacramento, Alvarez-Tostado starred in both soccer and basketball at Casa Roble High School. She was the Defensive Player of the Year in the Golden Empire League in 2024. She was a part of Placer United Soccer Club as well, a club that made the ECNL Playoffs in 2023.

"Mia's natural communication when organizing her backline, coupled with her overall presence in goal will be great assets to add the goalkeeping group. Her athleticism puts her in a position to be a very good shot blocker for our program."
Adison Bosa
Seattle, Wash. — Defender — Seattle United ECNL
An outside back out of Seattle, Bosa has twice earned All-Metro League honors out of Holy Names Academy, doing so in 2022 and 2023. She plays for one of the top clubs in WA, Seattle United, who have made the ECNL Nationals each of the last three years with Bosa on the squad. They were also the Northwest Conference champions in 2024. She was an ECNL Northwest Conference first team selection in 2023.

"Adie is tough and gritty defender who excels in one-on-one situations. She has an incredible left-foot and her engine gives her the ability to positively impact on the attacking side of the ball."
Giovanna Hansen
North Bend, Wash. — Midfield/Forward — Crossfire Academy ECNL
Hansen is a commit from Mount Si High School and a top club in WA, Crossfire Academy ECNL. An attacking-minded player, she guided Mount Si to playoff success each year. She's experienced similar success with Crossfire Academy, helping them make it to Nationals in 2022 and 2023. She made the ECNL Northwest Conference Second Team in 2023 and 2024. Hansen was also named a Top Drawer Girls Club Standout in 2022 and 2023, an ECNL Northwest Player to Watch in 2023, one of the Sports Illustrated Best High School Girls Soccer Players in the Nation for Fall 2023 and a PrepSoccer Top Five High School Players to Watch in 2023 and 2024. In 2020, she participated in a camp with the U.S. Youth National Team.

"Giovanna is an explosively quick and tenacious, versatile player who can break teams down either on the dribble or with her movement off the ball. Her variety of service and ability to finish will bring a spark to our overall attack."
Tatum Manley
Las Vegas, Nev. – Defender – Albion SC
Manley signs with Portland as an outside back from Las Vegas. She played at Bishop Gorman High School, earning All-League honors every year from 2021 to 2023. She was also named an All-Conference player each of those three years. She joined Albion SC for the her final 2024 club season.

"Tatum's overall desire to get forward, coupled with her ability to read the game, make her a very dangerous outside back in the attack. Whether through combination play or on the dribble, her soccer IQ puts her in advantageous positions to contribute on both side of the ball."
Natalia Niebles-Webb
San Jose, Calif. — Midfield/Forward — De Anza Force ECNL/Bay Area Surf ECNL
A versatile attacker coming from the Bay Area, Niebles-Webb is a four-year starter for Silver Creek High School, leading the Santa Teresa Athletic League in goals (17) and assists (10) her junior year. She's a three-time All-League selection and was named team MVP each of the last three years. Most recently, she played club with the Bay Area Surf ECNL squad, having also played with the De Anza Force ECNL.

"Talia is an attacking-minded midfielder who is elusive with the ball at her feet, helps to circulate the ball in possession and finds creative ways to deliver a final pass to set-up teammates in the final third."
Malli Rude
Prosser, Wash. — Defender/Midfielder — Seattle United ECNL
Rude comes to Portland with experience both as a defender and in the midfield. Rude played her high school soccer at Prosser High School. Captaining her team in both 2021 and 2022, she also earned second team All-League honors in 2021 and first team All-League honors in 2022.  She was team MVP for her Seattle United team as well. Rude was a part of the U.S. ODP National Team that partook in a tournament in Costa Rica.

Abriana Ruiz
Denver, Colo. — Defender — Colorado Rapids ECNL
Ruiz joins the Pilots from North High School in Denver, where she was a captain of her HS team all four years. She scored at least one goal and added two assists in every single game of the 2024 season, helping the team take third place in the state for the first time in school history. She was a first team All-League player in 2022-23 and was named to the All-City League for Denver in 2024. She played for Colorado Rapids ECNL, a club that ranked in the top 10 in ECNL in 2023.  Her team made the playoffs each of the last four season.

"Abriana has a strong defensive presence and doesn't shy away from tackles. She consistently stretches an opponent defending shape with her vision and range of service."
The Pilots are coming off a stellar year that saw them win at least nine games for the fourth year in a row, finishing with a 9-5-6 record overall. It's the first time they've posted at least nine wins in four consecutive seasons since a stretch between 2010 and 2013.
