SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Portland Pilots senior Taylor Helle has been named to the 2025 West Coast Conference Beach Volleyball All-Academic Team, the conference announced today. Helle earns her second career All-Academic honor after receiving honorable mention recognition in 2024 and making the All-Academic Team in 2023.

Joining Helle with WCC All-Academic honorable mentions are Elena Bullemer, Leonie Freytag, Elin Larsson, and Annika Stammberger. All five Pilots were key contributors on the sand throughout the 2025 season, competing in every match for Portland.
 
Helle anchored the Pilots' lineup from the No. 3 flight all season, showcasing consistency both athletically and academically. Stammberger, one of the team's leaders, primarily competed at the No. 1 spot, while Freytag and Larsson partnered together at No. 2 for the majority of the season. Bullemer was a mainstay at the No. 4 position.
 
Larsson and Stammberger both earn their second consecutive honorable mention after being recognized by the conference in 2024.
 
The WCC All-Academic Team honors student-athletes who have excelled both in competition and in the classroom, maintaining a minimum 3.20 cumulative GPA while playing a key role in at least 50 percent of their team's matches.
