PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots put up a strong fight against the Oregon Ducks this afternoon but fell short in a 4-1 battle. The Pilots' lone victory came on court five, where Michela Strati and Hannah Debban delivered a straight-set win, 21-18, 21-10. Portland moves to 4-14 overall on the season.

The dual began on court four, where Oregon claimed an early lead with a 21-6, 21-13 win. Court two followed shortly after, with Leonie Freytag and Elin Larsson putting up a competitive effort before falling 21-19, 21-14.

In flight one, Emily Wood and Annika Stammberger took the first set and battled hard into a deciding third, but were edged out 17-21, 21-19, 15-10. Portland got on the board with Strati and Debban's strong performance on court five, but the Ducks clinched the match in flight three, where Elizabeth Ortiz and Elena Bullemer fell 21-10, 21-15.
