PORTLAND, Ore. – Freshman two-way player Trey Swygart was named a 2025 Perfect Game Freshman All-American on Tuesday, becoming the first Pilot to earn any freshman All-American honors since Sam Brown 2021.
Swygart made the second team after a solid first season with the Pilots. Swygart played in 32 games with 25 starts at the plate and in the field and also made 11 appearances with three starts on the mound. Swygart hit .342 with six home runs and 14 RBI's while posting an OPS of 1.144. Him and fellow freshman – Cole Katayama-Stall – hit the most home runs by a Pilot true freshman in a single season since Riley Henricks in 2008. Swygart posted a 6.97 ERA in 31.0 innings pitched this season as well, including two saves.
The Pilots went 22-30 overall this season and also 13-11 in WCC play, qualifying for the WCC Tournament for the fourth straight season. They've posted five straight seasons of 20 wins or more for the first time since 2012 and have done so in seven of the last eight seasons.
