PORTLAND, Ore. – Mark Berokoff has joined the University of Portland men's basketball program as an assistant coach, head coach Shantay Legans announced on Tuesday. Berokoff joins the Pilots after serving the last four seasons as head coach at NAIA Oklahoma City University.

He also mentored 16 all-Americans, three national tournament outstanding players and one scholar All-American. The Saints went 147-122 under Berokoff's tutelage, often competing against higher level teams from the NCAA.
Prior to Randall, Berokoff served as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I stops with Louisiana Tech and Texas State. He also was a junior college assistant coach with Hill College.
At the high school level, Berokoff had a career record of 225-77 in 10 years of coaching, including winning the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Championship with Calvary Chapel Downey in 2001. Berokoff was the head coach of the Bandits in the hit television series "Slamball" on SpikeTV and serving as a basketball coordinator for the major motion picture "Coach Carter."
