NORTHBROOK, Ill. – Portland middle blocker Nevaeh Bray has been named to the inaugural Allstate NACDA Fall Good Works Team (Fall), as announced Tuesday by Allstate and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).
Â
The 2025 Fall Good Works Team represents a wide range of service commitments from honorees nationwide, including work in pediatric cancer care, disability inclusion, housing and food insecurity, and education access. The honor recognizes 20 student-athletes from across the country who have made a significant impact through leadership, community service, and outreach. The team spans NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, junior and community colleges and the NAIA, highlighting athletes in seven sports including volleyball, soccer, cross country, field hockey and water polo.
Â
As an MBA candidate and Women in Sports Tech Fellow, Bray brings together academics, leadership, and service to help create greater access and representation in sports. She serves as president and a founding member of the university's Black Student-Athlete Group (BSA) and as DEI Sub-Committee Chair for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Among her initiatives, Bray helped organize the Black History Month Celebration Market, which showcased more than 30 local Black-owned businesses and earned recognition from the West Coast Conference.
Â
Bray also serves as Community Engagement Coordinator for the Big Yard Foundation, where she leads outreach for studio art showcases, organizes vendors for the Juneteenth 5K and mentors middle school athletes. Her efforts have created new opportunities for mentorship, visibility and support for Black student-athletes and the wider Portland community.
