Pilots and Vikings Play to 1-1 Draw in Hillsboro

HILLSBORO, Ore. – In their first matchup since the 2017 season, the Portland Pilots tied the Portland State Vikings 1-1 at Hillsboro Stadium. The win puts Portland at 2-2-3 on the year.
 
Hailey Still scored the lone goal of the evening for the Pilots, with Violet Rademacher earning the assist. It's the second goal of the year for Still.

How it Happened

Still's goal came in the 36th minute. Still took the pass into the box from Rademacher and flushed it away to give Portland a 1-0 lead.

Portland led the majority of the game until the 89th minute. Ocean Rideout launched a long shot into the goal for the Vikings that tied things up late. The equalizer made it a 1-1 draw.

  • Hailey Still scored the second goal of her season and the game-winner for Portland. It's her ninth as a Pilot and fourth game-winner.
  • Still is the first Pilot to score multiple goals on the year.
  • Violet Rademacher earned her first assist of the year.
  • Abriana Ruiz made her Pilot debut in the match.
