PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Pilots pitcher Will Labonte was named a 2026 Perfect Game Midseason All-American on Wednesday, making the freshman second team. He is the first Pilot to earn midseason All-American honors.
Labonte earns the honor after what has been a stellar first year so far with the Pilots. Labonte has thrown 36.1 innings and posted a 2-0 record with a 1.98 ERA and 30 strikeouts. He has settled in as a starter and thrived, with his ERA ranking third in the conference, 41
st in the nation and fourth among all freshmen nationally. He was named the WCC Freshman of the Week on Monday.
The Pilots are rolling heading into the weekend, posting an 18-8 record overall and boasting wins in 10 of their last 11 games. They most recently shut out the No. 15 Oregon Ducks 3-0 for their second ranked win of the year, their third straight over the Ducks and their third at PK Park against Oregon.
Portland takes on the Seattle U Redhawks this weekend at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue for a three-game conference series. They'll play Thursday, April 2 through Saturday, April 4, starting with Thursday's contest at 4 p.m. Check PortlandPilots.com for live stats and video options.
