PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Pilots freshman pitcher Will Labonte continues to rack up the honors, being named a Perfect Game Freshman All-American. Labonte made the first team.
 
This is the second All-American award for Labonte, who was named an NCBWA Freshman All-American earlier this week. He becomes the first Pilot in program history to ever win multiple freshman All-American honors.
 
Labonte shined for the Pilots this season, earning All-WCC Second Team and All-WCC Freshman Team honors along with the All-American recognition. Labonte pitched 73.1 innings with a 2.82 ERA and a 3-2 record, ranking fifth in the conference and 38^th nationally in ERA. He second among WCC freshman and sixth nationally.
 
The Canadian's 73.1 innings pitched were the most by a Pilot freshman since Grady Miller in 2017 while his ERA the best for a Pilot freshman since Travis Radke in 2012. He was on the watch list for the College Baseball Foundation National Pitcher of the Year Award earlier this season and was also a Perfect Game Midseason Freshman All-American.
 
The Pilots finished the 2026 season at 27-25 overall, marking the fourth time in five seasons they've finished above .500 and that they've posted at least 25 wins or more.
