CHULA VISTA, Calif. – The second varsity four earned two wins for the Portland Pilots on Saturday, taking down the UC San Diego Tritons and the Sacramento State Hornets in dual races, while the second varsity eight earned one victory against the Hornets.
 
The second varsity four beat the Tritons in the morning with a time of 7:55.60 and the Hornets with a time of 8:13.18. Reegan Gardiner was the coxswain while Sam Kronis was the stroke. The second varsity eight posted times of 7:15.46 in the morning and 7:19.77 in the evening, with Natalie Petty as the coxswain and Averie Zealley the stroke to win that second race againts Sacramento State.
 
All other Pilot boats took second in their races. The varsity eight – with Leahbelle Paladino and Julia Kiplinger as the coxswain and stroke respectively – posted a time of 6:56.41 against UCSD and a time of 7:15.29 against Sacramento State. The varsity four had Bella Valenzueala as the coxswain and Phoebe Price as the stroke and posted times of 8:04.06 and 8:11.42 respectively.
