THIS WEEK

• The Pilots will compete at the Oregon Twilight on Friday, May 8 at Hayward Field before heading to the Portland Twilight on Saturday, May 9 at Griswold Stadium. Portland will have competitors across a variety of sprint and distance events throughout the weekend, including the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m steeplechase and 5000m races.

LAST MEET

• Portland track and field completed action Saturday at the Oregon State High Performance meet hosted at the Whyte Track and Field Center. Canyon White set a PR and was the top finisher in the 5,000m men's open, while Malia-Rose Harvey posted the top time in the women's 400m event and Aria Cain improved her 100m PR to 11.78, No. 2 all-time for the Pilots.
• White finished with a time of 14:57.01, improving his best time by 14 full seconds. Harvey topped the 400m with a time of 56.25, nearly two seconds better than the second-place finisher.
• Other highlights for Portland included Kgadi Monyebodi's PR of 3:54.35 in the 1,500m. Lindsey Kaines placed fourth in the women's 1,500m in 4:31.90. Three Pilot women set new 1,500m PR's: Kate Kabenina, Giana Atkinson and Julia Ferriera.
• Silas Sneath's 15:51.74 was also a 5,000m best, while Elliot McIntosh recorded a PR of 9:29.27 in the Steeplechase. Aaliyah Nero also set her personal best in the 100m (13.15).
