KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Portland Pilots midfielder Aliyah Dockter becomes the third athlete for Portland Pilots women's soccer to earn national preseason recognition, making the 2026 United Soccer Coaches Midfielders to Watch list.
The list recognizes the top midfielders in the country heading into the 2026 fall season. Dockter is one of three Pilots to have now made a list, with Sophia Hills making the goalkeepers list and Violet Rademacher making the defenders list.
Doctker was a force in the midfield for Portland last season. Earning All-WCC Honorable Mention, Dockter scored two goals on the year in 19 starts, both of those being game-winning goals. Dockter was also a factor in a defense that allowed just 12 goals all season, ranking second in the WCC in goals-against average (.63). Dockter also was named a United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Scholar Athlete, making the second team.
The Pilots put together one of their best years in recent history in conference play in 2025, finishing with a 7-1-3 record against WCC opponents to finish tied for second in the league. Their second-place finish was the highest for the program since 2013 while their seven wins were their highest since that same year. Portland finished 10-3-6 overall for their third 10-plus win season in four years and their best winning percentage (.682) since that 2013 season as well.
Portland opens the season against the No. 12 Washington Huskies up in Seattle on Wednesday, Aug. 12. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Check PortlandPilots.com for live stats and video options.
