SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Portland Pilots Men's Soccer swept the weekly awards for the West Coast Conference, with David Ajagbe winning WCC Offensive Player of the Week and Ritvik Karra claiming Defensive Player of the Week honors. It's the first win of the year for Ajagbe and the second for Karra.

Ajagbe was the leading scorer for the Pilots on Saturday, putting two goals on the LMU Lions and adding an assist on the game-winning goal. Ajagbe's brace is his first of the year, and he's just the second Pilot to record multiple goals in a match this year and the first against a Division I opponent. He's reached 20 goals for his college career and 13 as a Pilot. He's the first Pilot this season to win Offensive Player of the Week.

Karra repeats as Defensive Player of the Week after stellar play on both sides of the ball. He is officially the only WCC player this year with multiple WCC Player of the Week wins. Karra scored the game-winning goal and added an assist to help the Pilots secure the win. The goal was the first of his Pilot career. Karra played 70 minutes as well to help the Pilots earn the shutout, their third straight and fourth of the season. Portland is now the only WCC team with four shutouts this season.

Portland was fierce in their conference opener, defeating LMU 4-0 for their third straight shutout victory. It was the largest win by margin of victory for the Pilots so far this season. They were the only WCC team to earn a win to open conference play. Portland is now 3-3-2 on the year.

The Pilots will host the Saint Mary's Gaels next, welcoming the conference foe to The Bluff on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. Check PortlandPilots.com for tickets, live stats and video options.
