PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland’s scheduled baseball game on Sunday against Air Force at Joe Etzel Field has been rained out because of inclement weather. The Pilots and Falcons will not re-schedule the game, meaning UP claims all three games of the weekend series.
The Pilots defeated the Falcons 1-0 on Friday before winning both games of a double header on Saturday by scores of 6-2 and 2-1, respectively. Senior closer Owen Jones saved all three games.
The Pilots are off to a 10-2 start for only the third in program history, and they’ll go after their 11th straight home win on Friday, which would set a program record for consecutive victories at home.
First Portland travels to Seattle, Wash., on Tuesday for a non-conference game against the Washington Huskies at 5 p.m. The Pilots then return home to host Cal State Northridge for a three-game series at Joe Etzel Field next weekend.
