PORTLAND, Ore. --- Senior Scott Fauble, who helped lead the Pilots to a third-place finish at the 2014 NCAA Championships, is the U.S. Bank University of Portland Student-Athlete of the month for November. Fauble earned his third straight All-American award at the championships on Nov. 22 and the Pilots claimed their first ever podium finish.
Fauble stayed with the lead pack on the 10k course for the majority of the race and he led the Pilots with a 13
th-place finish.
Prior to nationals, Fauble had strong showings at the NCAA West Regional and WCC Championship. Fauble placed fourth in the region, helping the team receive an automatic bid to nationals with a second-place team finish on Nov. 14. Two weeks earlier during the WCC Championship, he crossed the line second as the Pilots won their 34th conference championship.
