DEXTER, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots continued their success at the Covered Bridge Regatta by claiming four first-place finishes on Dexter Lake on Saturday. Portland's varsity eight, second eight and a pair of novice fours each won their respective events, with the varsity eight finishing just 0.34 of a second ahead of runner-up Western Washington.
 
The Pilots posted a time of 7:02.06, while Western Washington covered the course in 7:02.40.
 
"It was great to have the entire team at the same regatta and have successful racing from the novice to the varsity team," Portland head coach Pasha Spencer said. "We took advantage of the great conditions and it was good preparation for our team championship at WIRA's (Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association) in two weeks."

Portland's second eight won their event with a time of 7:10.60 to also finish ahead of WWU.

The Pilots compiled 100.0 points at the regatta to claim thier third straight Collegiate Efficiency Trophy.
