PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots men's and women's cross country teams will head up to Seattle, Wash. on Friday for the NCAA West Regional. Over 30 teams will compete at the Jefferson Park Golf Course for a chance to head to the NCAA National meet in Lousiville, Ky. next weekend.

The 6-kilometer women's race is set to start at 12:00 p.m. with the men's 10-kilometer race to follow at 1:00 p.m. Both Pilot squads are familiar with the Jefferson Park Golf Course after racing at the UW Invitational meet there earlier this year.

This regional meet will be one of nine regionals happening across the nation on Friday with the top two teams of each race booking a ticket to nationals, totaling 18 teams for each gender. 13 more teams will receive at large bids, rounding out the national championship field.
