PORTLAND, Ore. --- Nine more runners have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Portland Pilots men's cross country team in the fall.

Sam Lomax Portland, Ore./Central Catholic HS    
Placed 7^th in the Oregon 6A state cross country championships; has also run 8:55.69 in the 3000 and 4:05.54 for 1500. 

"I have had my eye on Sam for several years," said men's cross country head coach Rob Conner "He comes from a great program and one that is a great fit with ours in its training philosophy. I'm looking forward to working with him." 

Joe Horen Arvada, Colo./Arvada West HS
Placed 7^th in the Colorado 5A state cross country championships; has run 9:34.81 for 3200 and 4:28.08 for 1600.  

"Joe keeps our Colorado connection alive and he is a great student and prospect" added Conner. "He is young for his grade and is just now making big progress."

Devin Wulff Redmond, Wash./Redmond HS
Placed 12^th in the Washington 4A state cross country championships; has run 9:25.10 for 3200 and 4:19.25 for 1600.  

"Devin is our third runner from Redmond HS following Aiden Irish and Carter Aebi," stated Conner. "He has tremendous potential. I'm really glad he is coming!"

Matthew Schumann Concord, Calif./De La Salle HS
Placed 14^th in the California Division 1 state cross country championships; has run 9:16.40 for 3200 and 4:21.43 for 1600.  

"Matt's academics are off the charts and he will be in our Honors Program" said Conner. "I'm super excited to see what he can do in the longer college races."

Michael Murphy Alameda, Calif./St Joseph's Notre Dame HS
Placed 9^th in California Division 5 state cross country championships; has run 9:40.84 for 3200 and 4:31.68 for 3200. 
 
"Another great long distance prospect," added Conner. "We always need another guy who wants to max out his training."

Placed 11^th in Texas TAPPS cross country championships. 

Andrew Jenck Tillamook, Ore./Tillamook HS
Placed 19^th in Oregon 4A cross country championships. 

Trent Mazelli Silverdale, Wash./Klahowya HS
Placed 22^nd in Washington 1A cross country championships. 

Tayte Pollmann Salt Lake City, Utah/Brighton HS
Placed 24^th in Utah 5A cross country championships. 

"This is obviously a great group of students," continued Conner. "As a group they average a 3.8 GPA. As prospects they fit our profile, which is distance oriented guys who want to maximize their training. I couldn't be more excited to have them joining us."
