Women's Schedule/ResultsMONMOUTH, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots men's and women's cross country teams each earned third place at the Third Annual Ash Creek XC Invitational held at the Western Oregon University campus on Friday night. Courtney Cox was the first finisher for the women's team and Ben Forsee crossed the line first for the men's.
The women's team took the 4.6 km grass course first, placing in third with 79 total points and an average race time of 17:13. Cox finished 10
th overall with a time of 17:03.3. The next two Pilot finishers were Calli Vanderwilde and Sophia Noto who finished in 12
th and 13
th respectively.
The Portland men competed in a 6.3 km race and finished with 134 points behind Chico State and Simon Fraser. Forsee earned 7
th place with his time of 18:38.30. Will Baker-Robinson finished 17
th with his time of 19:03.40 and Logan Orndorf placed 46
th with a mark of 19:52.5.
The female harriers will next be in action on Sept. 19 at the WCC Preview in Spokane, Wash. and the men will take to the course on the same day in western Washington at the Sundodger in Seattle, Wash.
