VANCOUVER, Wash. --- The Portland Pilots Beach Volleyball team finished up their final regular season match against Washington earlier today at Frenchman's Bar Regional Park in Vancouver, Wash. The Huskies (1-0) topped the Pilots (3-5) in five sets to claim the overall match victory.

"I am extremely pleased with how we competed against a very good team today," said head coach Jeff Baxter. "Our team continues to improve and it will be exciting to see how much better we can get before the WCC Championship Tournament at the end of the month."

The Pilots four's and five's pairs were overcome by the Huskies to start the day, each in two sets. Redshirt freshman Katie Barker and senior Djurdjina Milovic then battled the Huskies three pair, attempting to make a comeback in the third set before the Washington pair prevailed.
