GILROY, Calif. --- The Portland Pilots beach volleyball team finished their lengthy road trip against the San Jose State University on Sunday, as the Spartans went on to win all five duals at Galivan Community College.
The match's result brings the Pilots to 2-6 after a weekend packed with matches; they recorded two victories in two days against the Pacific Tigers, claiming fifth place in the WCC Mid-Season Invitational.
1's pair Grad Student Morgan Robinson and Junior Shayla Hoeft brought their second set past the 21-point threshold, but were unable to complete the comeback and fell with scores of 14-21 and 21-23. Â
Next weekend, the Pilots will travel south to Eugene, Ore. to face the University of Oregon at 12:00 p.m. on April 6
th.
