EUGENE, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots beach volleyball team capped their regular season with a rematch against the University of Oregon on Saturday, falling 1-4 to the Ducks at Amazon Park.
Junior Katie Barker and Sophomore Carey Williams won their fourth duel of the season, holding off a UO comeback to win in three sets. Â
Two pairs of Pilots forced their first pairs sets past the 21-point threshold, but were unable to complete their respective comebacks. Both ended with slim point differentials, with Sophomore Emma Scanlan and Freshman Sarah Strong holding the closest with a difference of only six match points.
The Pilots will take next weekend off, and return to action at the WCC Championships in Santa Monica, Calif. on April 20th. Â
