PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland Pilots redshirt-senior pitcher Chris Clements landed on the All-West Coast Conference First Team, sophomore shortstop Chad Stevens earned second-team honors, and first baseman Tracye Tammaro was named to the league's all-freshman team, it was announced on Tuesday. This is the first WCC honor for all three players.
 
Clements, who hails from Pacific Grove, Calif., is also a semifinalist for the national pitcher of the year after going 7-1 with a 1.69 ERA in his only season with the Pilots. He K'd 76 in 85.1 innings, and he held the opposition to a .180 batting average. Clements ranks seventh nationally in WHIP (0.89), he's eighth in ERA, and he's 20th in hits allowed per 9.0 innings (5.7). His ERA is also the fifth best in program history.
 
Clements was named the WCC Pitcher of the Week three times, and he recorded a pair of complete-game wins, which included a shutout against Northern Colorado. During the shutout against the Bears, Clements recorded 13 strike outs.
 
Stevens was Portland's top hitter this season, batting .284, which he increased to .295 against WCC teams. The native of Fox Island, Wash., led the Pilots with 62 hits, 13 doubles, a triple, 12 stolen bases, and 36 runs scored, which are the ninth most in a single season in Portland program history. Stevens also belted five homers and collected 27 RBI's. In the field, his 150 assists rank number 10 on the program's all-time single-season list.
 
Tammaro, who came to The Bluff from Clayton, Calif., hit .261 overall with five home runs, 26 RBI's, a triple, and 11 doubles in his first year with the Pilots. His on-base percentage of .407 was a team-high, and his 409 putouts at first base rank 10th on the program's single-season chart.
