PORTLAND, Ore.---The Pilots beach volleyball team is back in action this week when they head to Eugene for a matchup with the Oregon Ducks on Wednesday, starting at 12 p.m.

Portland (1-6) is coming off of a full weekend of play at the Husky Invitational up in Seattle, where they faced the Ducks twice, and Oregon was able to overcome the Pilots by scores of 5-0 and 4-1. Before that, the Pilots had recently registered a 3-2 win against the Corban Warriors on April 13.

The Pilots pair of Shayla Hoeft and Alycia Wodke claimed the sole dual victory against the Ducks this past Saturday, forcing three sets and taking the final frame all the way to a score of 25-23 on the way to collecting the win.
The Ducks enter the match at 6-9 overall, with three of those wins coming against Portland earlier this season, as well as a handful of those defeats given by highly ranked opponents in the Pac-12.

Following the contest, the Pilots will close out the year in Santa Monica, Calif. at the WCC Championships set for Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24. Match start times are still TBA.
