EUGENE, Ore.---The Portland 1s of Shayla Hoeft and Alycia Wodke swept their Oregon counterparts with two set scores of 21-18 to claim a dual win, but in the end it was the Ducks holding off the Pilots 4-1 overall in a beach volleyball contest over in Eugene on Wednesday.
Â
The win levels Hoeft and Wodke to 4-4 in dual competition this spring, and the duo remains the Pilots' winning-most partnership on the year, with two of their losses coming this past weekend to a tough 1s pair out of 15th-ranked Hawai'i.
Â
The Pilots' next set of matches will occur on Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1, when the team heads to Santa Monica, Calif. for the West Coast Conference Championships. Match start times are still TBA.
