Box Score LONG BEACH, Calif. – Portland won three of its four doubles matches and picked up three more singles victories during the final round of action Sunday at the Beach Tennis Winter Invite at the Rhodes Tennis Center. The Pilots finished the three-day event with a 7-3 combined doubles record.

Portland mixed up its doubles lineup on Sunday as Iva Zelic and Rimona Rouf teamed up for a 7-6 (5) win at the top of the lineup against Long Beach State. Sally Pethybridge and Jana Tanevska earned a 7-5 win at No. 2 doubles and Alexandra Dimitrijevic and Annika Alcon picked up a 6-3 win at No. 4. Rouf and Pethybridge each won all three of their doubles matches this weekend.

The bottom of Portland's lineup had a bid day Sunday with Tanevska and Alcon posting three-set wins against opponents from Boise State, while Marija Elenova cruised in straight sets. Tanevksa won two of her three singles matches at the tournament.

The Pilots will now prepare for the official start of the spring dual season. Portland opens on the road against crosstown rival Portland State on Friday, Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. at Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District.
