SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Portland women's tennis players Alaia Rubio Perez and Meagan Pearson were named to the 2026 West Coast Conference All-Academic Team, while three other Pilots garnered honorable mention recognition.

The London, England native was just named All-WCC honorable mention in both singles and doubles. She went 17-14 in singles playing at the top spot in the lineup during dual matches, including a 10-8 mark in dual matches.
Pearson has been a Dean's List honoree each of her seven semesters on campus thus far. She has a 3.96 cumulative grade-point average and will earn her degree in management information systems. Pearson had her best season on the court with 13 overall singles wins, including eight in dual matches. She was also 8-7 in dual doubles matches.
Portland had three other players garner honorable mention all-academic recognition: Lexie Flores (3.70 GPA, Psychology), Maria Galatescu (3.25 GPA, Computer Science) and Nadine Arbaizar Martinez (3.42 GPA, Biology).
