MORAGA, Calif. – Sally Pethybridge and Alaia Rubio Perez each won a pair of singles matches on Saturday to reach their respective semifinals at the Saint Mary's Invitational.

Pethybridge beat San Francisco's Hana Gamracy in three sets in the Round of 16 and then knocked off Lele Mari Hovda of the host Gaels 6-4, 6-4 to reach the top flight semifinal. Freshman Megan Pearson picked up a three-set win against the draw's No. 3 seed, Maria Martinez Vaquero of San Francisco, before falling in the quarterfinals.

In the 'Red Draw', fellow freshman Rubio Perez pulled out a comeback win over Weronika Ejsmont of Sacrament State and then cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 victory over USF's Azaria Hayes.

Pethybridge will face Pacific's Tomi Main and Rubio Perez takes on Julia Moraes of Sacramento State Sunday morning with the final matches scheduled for the early afternoon.
