SAN MATEO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announced on Tuesday the WCC All-Academic Team for Men and Women's Cross Country. The WCC's All-Academic Teams feature student-athletes who excelled this year both academically and athletically.
The Pilot men earned a total of six All-WCC academic honors - one First Team and five Honorable Mentions.
For the First Team awards, only six WCC institutions were represented, comprising BYU, LMU, Pepperdine, Portland, San Francisco and Santa Clara. For the Pilots, Leo Donlea earned First Team WCC Men's Cross Country All-Academic honors, one of only 11 men to do so. This was Donlea's second time earning All-WCC First Team honors.
For Honorable Mention honors, the Pilots were represented by Kevin Andrews, Nolan Hosbein, Bradley Peloquin, Kai Vickers and Cohen Williams.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic team for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to their team.
