SANTA CRUZ, Calif.---The Pilots beach volleyball team collected their second sweep in a row after defeating San Francisco 5-0 at the WCC Mid-Season Invitational on Saturday, marking the first time in program history that the squad has registered back-to-back sweeps against West Coast Conference opponents. Portland previously edged Pacific 5-0 on Friday afternoon.

The Pilots finished in sixth-place at the conference tournament after San Jose State prevailed 4-1 in the team's final contest at Santa Cruz Beach, with 2s pair Grace Zilbert and Charity Bradley rallying for a three set win against the Spartans with scores of 21-16, 14-21, and 15-11.

Portland returns home with a 5-8 dual record on the year, next heading to Salem for a midweek matchup with the Corban Warriors on Wednesday, March 30.
