PORTLAND, Ore. – The 2022-23 season for the Portland Pilots Women's Basketball Season will surely be one to remember. It was the best season in 26 years for Portland, one that saw the Pilots win their second WCC Championship in four seasons, finish with over 20 wins for the third time in four seasons and play an NCAA Tournament game for the first time since 1997. It was truly one of the best years in program history.
"It was an incredible season," Portland head coach Michael Meek. "Faced with adversity, our team came together and played their best towards the end. I'm very proud of the positive culture we have created and am already excited about the group of competitors we have returning."
The 2022-23 season was filled with both team and individual accolades, with the Pilots battling through a rigorous non-conference schedule, injuries and more on their way to being crowned champions. And through it all, the stories of the Pilot players came out, highlighting a team of well-rounded individuals that formed one of the best squads in program history.
With the 2022-23 season in the rearview, we want to highlight the accomplishments of this year's squad while also looking at some of the coverage of this year's team.
