PORTLAND, Ore. -- Today's WCC baseball showdown between the Portland Pilots and the LMU Lions has been postponed due to continuous rain . The series opener will now take place on Friday, April 7 at 6 p.m.

In addition, the two teams will now play a doubleheader on Saturday, April 8, with both games being nine innings. The first game will start at 11 a.m. and the second game will start 30 minutes after.

The Pilots are 17-11 on the season and 7-2 in WCC play, their best start in conference play since 2010. They currently sit atop the WCC standings in a three-way tie for first with LMU and the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
