SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Portland Pilots Rowing took the first Credit Union 1 WCC Crew of the Month award of the 2024 season, with the varsity four taking the honor for March.
The varsity four earned the honor after a dominant March that saw them win both of their races in the month. The varsity four took first in the Sacramento State Invite on March 9, giving the Pilots their first win at the event since 2019. The varsity four followed that with a win at the Tacoma Tussle on March 30.
The Pilots have had a strong start to the 2024 spring season, with all their boats combining for four wins through seven races across two regattas. They swept the Tacoma Tussle this past weekend as well.
Next up, the Pilots host their only home event of the spring season, the Portland Invite at Vancouver Lake, this Saturday, April 6. It will also be senior day for Pilot Rowing, with a ceremony after racing. Check PortlandPilots.com for more information.
