Box Score CARY, N.C. – Portland senior Sally Pethybridge lost two matches in the Prequalifying Draw of the 2024 ITA Women's All-American Championships this week. The event features the top individual players in the nation.

The event featured singles draws for Pre-Qualifying (128), Qualifying (64) and the Main Draw (64). From this, ten singles players (10) will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship (eight main draw quarterfinalists & two feed-in consolation finalists).

Pethybridge dropped a three-setter to Given Roach of Georgia Tech to drop out of the winners draw. She won the opening set 7-5, but dropped the final two sets 6-4 and 6-1. Pethybridge lost her consolation match to Miami's Raquel Gonzalez, 6-3, 6-3.

Pethybridge will not compete with the Pilots in their next outing, which is the WSU Invitational scheduled for Sept. 27-29 in Pullman, Wash.
