Box Score SEATTLE, Wash. – The Portland women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to a tough Washington squad Wednesday in the team's dual season opener at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
The Pilots competed well in doubles before the Huskies clinched the point with wins at No. 3 and No. 1, respectively.
Washington took all six singles matches in straight sets to conclude the scoring.
The Pilots will face another stiff test on the road this weekend when they visit the Oregon Ducks on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and then take on Texas Tech in a neutral site match at Oregon on Sunday.
