PORTLAND, Ore. — The University of Portland has announced a new partnership with KUNP-TV, making the station the exclusive television broadcast home for Pilots athletics in the Portland-metro area. The agreement kicks off with Friday night's women's basketball matchup against Montana State, launching a 14-game broadcast slate for the 2025–26 season.
The initial schedule includes:
- 4 women's basketball games
- 8 men's basketball games, including Sunday's 2 p.m. contest versus UC Davis
- 2 baseball games
All broadcasts will be produced by the Portland Sports Network, the University's in-house video department, and simulcast live on ESPN+.
"We are excited to partner with KUNP and expose University of Portland Athletics to a wider audience," said Scott Leykam, Vice President for Athletics. "Sharing a station with brands like the Portland Trail Blazers and Hillsboro Hops positions UP well in our efforts to grow our fan base and showcase the success we're having on The Bluff."
"Adding the University of Portland athletics to KUNP expands our already extensive sports offerings on the channel," said Dean Ditmer, Vice President and General Manager of KATU/KUNP. "KUNP is proud to be the carrier of the Rip City Network and for Portland's hometown teams!"
