Box Score EUGENE, Ore. – Portland came up short in a neutral site match against No. 23 Texas Tech Sunday afternoon at the Student Tennis Center. Texas Tech improves to 5-1 on the season, while the Pilots fall to 0-3 against a tough early season schedule.
Texas Tech earned the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions to open the scoring.
The Red Raiders then picked up straight set wins at No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 singles to clinch the overall match.
The Pilots will return to the Louisiana-Pacific Tennis Center for their home opener on Friday, Feb. 14 against Portland State at 10 a.m.
